Agencies Company Profile: Our eduhomes series of cities
attempt to bridge the gap between the parents students and
host families.
Host
families fall into two categories.
Category One -- Homestay with lived-in guardians
providing full support to a foreign student.
Category Two -- Rent -a-room which is for students
above 18 years old who are fairly independent with
or without a lived in guardian.
Other services include summer camps, orientation
tours, admission into local learning institutions.
Services available vary in different cities.
Twenty-five years ago, we opened our home to our
foreign friends' children. Not out of pure
generosity but of necessity! It is not easy living
with strangers. Thru the years, we have learned to
accept and adapt our lifestyles, enjoying and at
times compromising with our young wards. Our
children's growing up years are filled with the joys
and headaches of sharing their parents with
"outsiders". Many of their parents have become our
friends and the children among themselves, are
moving into adulthood have become friends also.
The rewards of sharing your homes with foreign
boarders are beyond any financial gains. Friendships
forged over the years with the parents and their
children have enriched our family lives . This web
site is created with the aim of finding suitable
local host families for our foreign guests.
Hopefully, my experience would help to locate the
many wonderful families living in Singapore.
Homestay
Parents are great worriers! Their anxiety heighten
when a son or daughter moves overseas and live in
"strange" countries. Unprotected in all front. Local
guardians in our home stay program go thru a
selection process including a questionnaire
requesting for profile of the host family which
includes their religion, race, family members, etc.
Orentation Tour
Students who have not visited Singapore are
encourage to come with their parents and immerse
themselves in the local environment and experience
the cosmopolitan flavour of our city.
Rooms to rent
Rental for students only.
We are looking for accommodation ranging from
private condominiums with full facilities to HDB
apartments. Students above 18 years do not require
any legal form of guardianship. However, being young
foreigners, we request a degree of commitment from
you. For example, assist in any emergency medical
needs, social problems, etc
