CME has
been at the forefront of providing mast climbing
access equipment, being an active pioneer in this
industry since 1990. The HEK work platforms supplied
by CME have proven to be efficient, reliable and a
practical equipment where mechanized access systems
are required.
The machines proved to be an ideal solution in the
massive public housing upgrading programs initiated
by the Housing & Development Board (Singapore) where
heavy building components were involved and where
the need for safety was of the utmost importance as
the upgrading were carried out under continued
occupation of the building.
From public housing upgrading concerns, the mast
climbing work platforms have been growing in
popularity and specified for use in new construction
in the private housing, commercial, and industrial
sectors.
Due to its flexibility in accommodating structural
constraints imposed by architectural designs such as
fins and recesses the work platforms are now growing
in demand and have wide applications where the use
of customized mechanized access systems are
required.
Currently, CME has a fleet of 250 units of machines
available for rental, placing it among the top ten
access equipment provider companies in the world.
Staffed by strength of 40 personnel, which include
technical engineers, it has established and
continues to maintain a sound track record as shown
by the numerous projects undertaken successfully.
Mast Climbing Work platform
The mast climbing work platform is a combination of
scaffold, material hoist and building cradle,
providing safe and efficient access to the building
surface.
It transports workers and materials to precisely the
height required; loads of up to 3.5 tonnes can be
carried up to a height of 200 meters. Height and
length can be adjusted quickly and conveniently. The
work platform can be used in a single mast
configuration with platform length from 2.7m to
10.1m or in a twin configuration with platform
length from 8.2m to 23.2m. The masts are anchored at
6 - 8m intervals. With the MSHF unit, a freestanding
height of up to 20m can be achieved when mounted on
a chassis.

The work platform provides ample space for workers,
their materials and equipment. It can be adapted to
virtually any elevation, taking into account
recesses, balconies, landings and corners. Extension
of 3 meters from the platform can be achieved.
In addition, the platform makes it possible to use
materials such as bricks, mortar cladding sheets,
etc., directly within arms' reach. Bending and
stretching are no longer necessary.
Passenger & Material Hoist
CME also supplies passenger hoist, which have proven
to be an ideal and versatile solution for various
applications in the building industry.
With capacity of 1200, the hoist is ideal for all
types of construction sites. With speeds of 40m/min,
the hoists are perfect for low or high-rise
projects, new buildings or the renovation of older
buildings.
The cabin is ergonomically designed to provide clear
entry and exit without obstructions. Fully
surrounded by open steel mesh with vertical gates at
both ends of the cabin. All gates are fitted with
micro-switches to ensure they are fully closed
before movement of the hoist. Sealed load cells are
fitted as an added protection against overload. The
powerful motor/gear boxes that are fitted with disc
brakes are extremely reliable and smooth running,
especially when starting and stopping. The masts are
fully compatible with those of the HEK mast climbing
work platforms thus offering savings in capital
outlay without losing capability. Square profile
steels section throughout, galvanized inside and out
together with unique nylatron rollers provides for
outstanding machine life, durability and load
carrying capacity. PLA hoists are designed to meet
and exceed the highest international safety
standards.
