Sensorial Young children discover that the world is
integrated through the senses. The Sensorial
equipment is designed to enhance sensory
development. Children learn to discriminate colour,
shapes and feel as well as proper vocabulary to
identify attributes.
Cultural Children are inspired an appreciation for
the wonder of our universe and to encourage the
students to come to realize their part in it. The
cultural curriculum includes the study of botany,
zoology, geography, physical science geometry and
history.
Language The purpose of the language curriculum is
to encourage clear, meaningful communication both as
means of self-expression and as the foundation of
better understanding among humankind. The
association of sound and symbol is developed through
work with sandpaper letters, and "movable alphabet"
letters. Preparation for reading is pervasive and
takes the form of reading aloud, fingers play,
rhyming games, graded readers that teach moral
values, picture sequencing and object categorizing
to name a few.
Chinese The Chinese programme is developed by
professionals who have mastered the Montessori
approach to teaching language yet understand the
challenges children face in learning Chinese.
Specially designed materials including the sandpaper
"strokes" and activities to help children learn
Chinese in an engaging and self-directed way.
Mathematics Students experience pre-math preparation
in Practical Life and Sensorial through exercises
focusing on one-to-one correspondence, ordering,
sequencing, estimating, measuring, conservation of
quantity and geometric shapes.
