national society committed to bringing the CSR movement
forward.
We
function as a multi-stakeholder platform in
recognising the role and contributions of all CSR
stakeholders. The key mission is to broaden the base
for collaboration between various stakeholders, in
developing coordinated and effective strategies to
promote CSR in Singapore.
Singapore Compact is also the focal point of the
local network of the UN Global Compact, the largest
corporate citizenship initiative internationally,
which aims to guide businesses in aligning their
operations and strategies with universally accepted
principles in Human Rights, Labour, Environment and
Anti-Corruption.
Key pillars of our organization’s work include
raising awareness of CSR and sustainability issues;
capacity building for companies, organizations and
individuals embarking on sustainable strategies and
changes; cross-sectoral engagement and exchange of
ideas and best practices.

Environmental issues are a key aspect of
sustainability strategy and CSR efforts in the
region, and internationally. One of the four areas
of the UN Global Compact principles is the
Environment, which includes promoting greater
environmental responsibility. Our work includes
advocating corporate social responsibility in
relation to “green” concerns, along with Labour
issues, Human Rights, and Anti-corruption/Corporate
Governance.
