Associations Company Profile: The Singapore Business Advisors and
Consultants Council (SBACC) is a not-for-profit organisation
representing practising management consultants and business
advisors in Singapore.
The
Singapore Business Advisors and Consultants Council
is set-up as an independent body that is supported
and recognized by government agencies. The Council
governs the activities and certification of
professional consulting fields and the registration
of business advisors.
The Council’s mission is to promote and advance the
professionalism of business consulting and business
advice by setting and maintaining internationally
recognised standards of performance and conduct for
our certified consultants and registered business
advisors. The Council will also promote the
continual upgrading of knowledge and skills of
business consultants and advisors.
In line with our national agenda to build capacity
and productivity of enterprises, SBACC will grow a
talent pool of professional consultants and
advisors. Consultants play an important, enabling
role in the development of enterprises in Singapore.
Consultants can help enterprises to be productive
and competitive by introducing new technologies,
improving systems and processes, restructuring
enterprises and extending the range of abilities and
knowledge to enterprises. Similarly, business
advisors can plug critical gaps in management
knowhow and provide useful business contacts,
especially, for the small and medium enterprises. By
providing advice and assistance, consultants and
business advisors aid enterprises in determining and
achieving their objectives.
The Council also aims to support our certified
practising consultants through value-added
activities and in time will assist them to tap on
business opportunities in the regional market.
In line with international best practice, the
Council adopts the international standard ISO/IEC
17024:2003 for the certification of personnel.
